Casa de Penhores Tak Seng On - 德成按典當業展示館 - Tak Seng On Pawnshop

Established em 1917 by local merchant Kou Ho Ning, Tak Seng On was once one of the most prolific businesses in Macau. It was one of the first ones to open and it’s also the last of its kind.

Closed in 1993 and lay vacant for many years before the government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau purchased it in 2000 and restored it. 

On 21 March 2003, it was opened to the public as a museum and now gives both locals and visitors a glimpse of the pawn businesses’ importance during its heyday. 

In 2004, this unique museum received an Honourable Mention in the UNESCO 2004 Asia-Pacific Awards for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage.

With different rooms, there are several informational boards written in English, Portuguese and Chinese, vintage abacus and other measuring and counting instruments, old accounting books and other treasures.

Casa de Penhores Virtude e Sucesso é o nome em português da Tak Seng On criada em Macau em 1917.

Fundada pelo comerciante local Kou Ho Ning, a Casa de Penhores Tak Seng On foi uma das empresas mais prolíficas de Macau. 

Foi uma das primeiras a abrir e também a última do género a encerrar actividade. Fechada em 1993 ficou vários anos ao abandono até à aquisição pelo Instituto Cultural do Governo de Macau seguindo-se um restauro em 2000. 

Abriu ao público a 21 de Março de 2003 como um museu relembrando a época de ouro das casas de penhor no território.

Em 2004, este museu recebeu uma Menção Honrosa no Prémio UNESCO 2004 da Ásia-Pacífico para a Conservação do Património Cultural. 

Com várias divisões, existem vários quadros informativos escritos em inglês, português e chinês, ábacos antigos e outros instrumentos de medição e contagem, antigos livros de contabilidade e outros tesouros.

展览的地点前身是德成在当铺（The Virtue and Success Pawnshop），于1917年由澳门巨头寇浩能和黄鸿山共同出资建立。前提是Tak Seng On，已关闭1993年，自传统当铺业务衰落以来空置多年。为了保护澳门的文化遗产，文化局于2000年对德成安进行了修复工作，其典当行的旧外观建筑设计，内部装饰以及典当商业务记录的设备和程序均恢复原状。与中华民国初期的基本布局。传统当铺商业遗产展览会于21 日在公众面前揭幕并向公众开放 它已成为政府和私营实体共同运营的第一个工业博物馆。现在由文化局管理。

遗产展览包括两个街区。前面的街区是一个三层的当铺和银行，而后面的街区是一个七层的仓库。典当行的底层和仓库的部分楼层已经向公众开放。当铺入口处有一个大屏幕，后面是一个高柜台和一个安全的笼子。

典当物品被放置在仓库中，仓库像堡垒一样建造。墙的基础由花岗岩制成，中间放置钢板，灰色砖墙非常厚。此外，仓库每层四面都有铁窗。为了保护典当商品，该建筑具有当铺的典型特征，如建筑结构坚固，内部和外部设计均具有防火，防水，安全和防匪功能。

参观者可以通过场地内的展品回顾当铺经营业务的过往经营和程序。在德国联合国教科文组织2004年亚太文化遗产保护奖中，Tak Seng On Pawnshop 获得了荣誉奖，并被2010年上海世博会选为城市最佳实践区。这将成为保存下来的建筑之一。世博会结束后。
