Lindsay (militar de carreira australiano e vice-chanceler da Univ. de Hong Kong) e a mulher  May investigaram o assunto nos sete anos anteriores a esta apresentação pública que depois passou para o formato de livro.

This 1963 small book is based on a lecture delivered by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong in May 7th 1962 about the 162 members of the Old Protestant Cemetery of Macau that Lindsay Ride and his wife had spent the seven years prior to this lecture researching.
